“Thinking black women are dangerous because we tend to reside in the state of fixing.”
I’ve had time to think lately and for me, that is dangerous. I’m a black woman. Thinking black women are dangerous because we tend to reside in the state of fixing. We are usually up to making sure something goes right and fair in the world.
Today I’m concerned with making sure I’m alright though. If I’m alright then the rest of the world will be too. I’m trying to past this logic on to my 65 year old mother but she’s a little slow in her transition with good reason. I don’t have any children.
I’ve only given birth to really painful lessons within myself. My mother on the other hand has 8 children and absolutely NO chill. Hmph. (to be continued)
