There were rumors of the end to this war.
We heard chatter of a blitzkrieg coming her way.
We felt it looming in the air of wack lyrics shrouded by singy top ten rap on her counter attack. She clearly heeded the beck and call of prophet Keith Murray to tell her crew (she better tell’em). Her crew was right there, fully strapped with inapplicable diatribes to counterattack the onslaught of venomous ether from the mother of Remy smdh. Yes dearly beloved freqs,
We knew she was a student of Hip-hop from her spot-on, killer Crush On You poses and affinity to pink polyurethane contour. Whether she gave it up or not, Lil Kim, Rah Digga, Monie Love and yes, MC Lyte were indeed her teacher.
The Mighty Queen L.A.T.I.F.A.H. took command this Summer Jam to help lay to rest the short order beef ‘tween anthem penning rapper, Remy Ma and the freshly departed Nicki Minaj. Just a few cyber months (2 days) after releasing more kill shots in Mask Off, the All The Way Up rapper decided to raise the temperature during her set at Summer Jam 2017.
This time, Remy didn’t ask her self the age-old emcee question WWND (What would Nas Do?). Nope. Her WWND went something more like What Wouldn’t Nicki Do? With that, Remy decided to pay homage, hitting her foe with the deadliest blow of all blows: U.N.I.T.Y.
On Sunday June 11th, Remy Ma hit the stage with her two mainstays, mega bars and Fat Joe however this time she brought a few special guests that included but was not limited too just about every female born rapper that ever had a video on B.E.T. Young Ma, Rah Digga, Monie Love, MC Lyte, Lady Rage, and of course Queen Latifah were all in attendance.
The Queen serenaded the crowd with a Monie Love-accompanied rendition of U.N.I.T.Y. while the other women pretty much stomped all over Nicki’s grave (at least that’s what we saw o-0).
See for yourself.
We’re not actually sure what the Barbee’s business was in the first place… smdh Nicki please.
